Who We Are
Our Roots
The St. Albert Riverlot Métis Association is a non-profit society. Our Executive are proud to be true ancestors of the original St. Albert Métis Settlement where our families have stood together for over 200 years. We will continue to exercise our ancestral rights we hold as a result of our ancestors' longstanding use and occupancy of these St. Albert, Alberta lands. We continue working to bring awareness of our Métis culture, traditions, and history. We will continue to assist our Métis people in many diverse areas such as Elder Supports, Indigenous Environmental Monitoring - job creation and Food Supports programs. We also support the Métis Nation of Alberta/Otipemisiwak Métis Government - St. Albert District 11.
We are located within Treaty 6/Métis Territory and within the Métis homelands of the OMG St. Albert District 11.
We respect and honour all Indigenous peoples and allies that walk together in our shared journey of healing and reconciliation. Feel free to join us by registering below. Maarsii
